It's going to be real interesting to see if you can grow the Aloifolia successfully there. Sandy, fast-draining soil is a help. Your latitude, however, is not. Still, you might pull it off.

The Palmetto seedling -- and remember, I'm going off a small image on a computer monitor -- looks too "Kelly Green" and not enough gray-green or blue-green to be a Sabal. To me, it looks like a little Washy or Livistona. Strengthening that thought is that it already is producing character fronds (actual fans as opposed to straps). Under ideal conditions, that may not happen for 3 or 4 years. And, north of Virginia, it often takes longer than that. For yours to pull off a character frond in one growing season and be a Sabal, you'd have to have a very special plant in my book.
