Let me see if I understand this (I'm not kidding, I mean it):

Yet, just 110 miles to the north on Long Island Sound on the CT coast....where sheltered in a south facing spot, with no chance of any frozen precip (EVER!) hitting it....with 24 hr temp monitoring....and me having the ability to fully cover it at will....has no chance? We wont even get into the fact that (at a minimum) my coastal lows are warmer than inland NJ, where "aloifolia gets by most winters OK".
This is your position?
Be honest...the truth is you somehow convinced yourself that NJ is the absolute northernmost location aloifolia will grow. Not based on fact...
