so am guessing (and hoping, LOL) then that you agree with my earlier post suggesting i.d. for the picture as myrica cerifera (and just maybe that we're BOTH right on this one)? FWIW, have never actually seen this species as it is not grown much at all on the west coast and the native (and fairly similar looking) "pacific wax myrtle" (m. californica) is all that's seen here in nature (common) and gardens (rare).
