Re: Pics around my yard this month!

I must have a tag saved of that flower. I definitely will look to find the name because I would like to plant them again next season. They are an incredible plant.
I wish my microclimate was a bit milder. I live near a forest so I think I lose a degree or 2 than other places a little more densely populated in my neighborhood. Good luck with your angel trumpets. The one in these pictures is the only one I have ever gotten to bloom so I am a bit afraid to try it outside over the winter which is why I dig mine up and store it in the garage. My garage easily gets into the 20s during cold years like last year so they have a pretty decent cold tolerance considering it's nearly bare root and seeing those temperatures.
Your yard looks great despite your cool microclimate. My grandmother lived in Westbury and she had a beautiful 50+ year old camellia bush that completely took over her front yard. Lots of nice southern magnolias in her area too. But then just a bit east in the hamptons temperatures can sometimes be 20 degrees colder at night than the city! Lots of microclimates in Long Island it seems.
