a very nice website loaded with great pics and interesting and useful information. along with the camellia japonica posting, the site has some interesting articles on other Japanese trees including neolitsea sericea, cinnamomum camphora/camphor tree, and especially machilus thunbergii---a wonderful evergreen "laurel" tree that should be hardy in many parts of the s.e. and is offered by woodlanders.net in aiken, s.c. I have found it grows nicely in my area in USDA 8 and upward. FWIW, "botanyboy" posts on the "growing on the edge" website which is also worth looking at for it's discussions of rare plants.
