A few pics around Atlanta today - some signs of spring
Message from Phil in Atlanta
I took a quick lunch drive to the midtown area to check on the palms. Gloomy day with some drizzle - wish I would have gone yesterday, oh well. Took some palms and some random BLE pics. Some signs of spring after the weekend warmth.
Palmettos look pretty good - maybe a little browning older fronds tips. A few different angles.
Windmills and Evergreen Clemantis.
These should be blooming within the next month with amazing scents.
I liked the little courtyard.
Zapped sago but mahonias blooming happily away.
Some sort of BLE, probably the ever abundant Carolina laurel.
Random BLE's
Camellias & mahonias.
Biggie windmill.
Zapped green euro fans! But the petioles etc looked green.
Bamboo-age. I saw some brown ones off the freeway but they look good away from the freeways.
Needles.
Signs of Spring! Popcorn poppin...
Laurel oaks will shed their leaves this month.
A wax myrtle with some winter burn. Never noticed that before.
More bamboo and palms. Looks like the black bamboo variety?
Very soon.
Nice to see some of the camellias starting to bloom again.
More laurels.
Thanks! Phil
