I would agree on some kind of bayberry.

I would agree on some kind of bayberry, possibly cerifera...but could be the northern bayberry, pennsylvanica. Hard to tell without a good closeup. Northern Bayberry is tardily deciduous.

And if it's Southern wax myrtle, they will likely defoliate most winters in zone 6 much below 0 degrees.

For the previous one, I would say Prunus laurocerasus 'Schipkaensis'.
