Hi, yes they are conifers....there are two types in the picture, native California Bishop pines and Monterey cypress (Cupressus Guatalupe). Eureka has lots of fatty Cypress growing, heres some Eucs and Cypress growing out on our jetty that surrounds Humboldt bay. Eureka is in the distance and this picture is looking Northeast.
